Capitas Across the World!

This may be my most important blog entry to date. I have decided to chronicle “Capitas” all across the world. I realize that this requires some explanation.

The True word is “Tapita.” This is an invention of the muy famoso Don Pepi (aka Jose Luis Borrero, aka The Vortex) where one takes a bottle cap full of alcohol (preferably Rum) puts it in the palm of their hand, circles it around their head and then throws it down the hatch. Sounds simple but alas it is not. The more one spills, the less one drinks and I believe that this is a clear elucidation of the “Pleasure Pain Principle.”

The reason I call it a “Capita” is simple. I am a Gringo and I only speak Spanglish and a little bit of English. Call it what you will but be sure not to spill a drop!

As I chronicle more and more Capitas, I will post them. If you are able to video any, please send them along and I will add them. Who knows, we may make it to the Library of Congress someday.
