OK, enough psychobabble. The weather has been changing to a very pleasant 65’ in the morning and approximately 85’ in the afternoon. It is wonderful to sit out by the bunker and have a little coffee in the morning. We are all spending more time outside and congregating a little more. It is good to get out of the air conditioned caves and socialize. So, the weather is changing and soon we will start to get rain. It threatened to rain the other day but only a few drops fell. I hear that rain here is often accompanied by dust storms. This is what we saw the other day!
When a few drops actually fell, it came down as little mud droplets. I was so disappointed because I was expecting the rain to wash away some of this dirt and dust. It was a cruel trick played on me by the dirt ferries!
The skies have cleared up considerably and the last night there was a beautiful sunset. I will spare you any more cliché sunset photos but here is a good one of the moon and Venus (I think). This is taken above the t-walls and across the airfield.
But it is still very dusty here and I have grown to hate the dust. It is very fine and a little greasy so that when it gets everywhere it likes to stay there. It is nothing short of a constant battle to keep things clean. I will very much enjoy coming home to a clean house in the clean ol’ US of A! You would all laugh about this if you knew how dusty El Paso can be!
